Did not follow the story. But I was fine entertained by the gameplay. 5/10. I love hidden object games and this is one of my favourites. Great story and challenging scenes and puzzles. Worth picking up in a sale.. Very challenging game - seriously only for experienced HOG fans. If I could give this game a sideways thumb I would as it can get very repetitive at times from the music to the many similar hidden object scenes however the inclusion of some extra minigames throughout does make it worth it too. The story itself is interesting and the achivements are quite challenging on a first playthrough. My biggest gripe would be the resolution of the graphics which makes the game unnecessarily challenging. At times a 'ring' for example seems more of a blur on the scene which can lead to some guesswork when finding objects but on the whole the hiding of objects is quite well done.. Nice little game, not long, but with the objects being different every time, it is very enjoyable.. nobody bought this. It won't run on Windows 7 64-bit. I tried everything (Compatibility Mode etc.), but it always crashes upon clicking "Play".It's a C++ related assertion error (.\config\DDSManager.cpp; Line 91) and there seems to be no fix for it, no Steam update either. Verifying the Game Cache didn't help.There is no dev assistance on this issue on the game's forum, while quite a few people seem to have encountered C++ related error trying to play it.Very disappointing, the game looked very compelling... I'm requesting a refund.. Quite entertaining hidden object game with mixture of VN elements set in pre-WWI Japan. Maybe not as good as the Sherlock Holmes hidden object game and others but still solid. Quite intriguing this was published by Square of all outfits.. After playing this I went to see if Steam had any other hidden object games by Square Enix, so that's a vote of approval. About 3 hours of playtime. Heavy hidden-object, no real puzzles. Story-line was decent, but on-rails (no real options on where to go next). When all you are in the mood for is hidden object (which is usually true for me) then this is a good choice.. In a Japan in the end of the 19th Century or beginning of the 20th, your husband is murdered and well, the police, while trying to find the truth, isn't really advancing. So, you take the responsabiltiy to find what happened.I must say that when I first reviewed the game, the HO genre was mainly hidden objects scenes on hidden objects scenes to find clues that will help you solve a puzzle. This game is reflecting it. So, while any HO lover will not be bothered by it, newcomers may be quickly be bored, mainly if they tried recent casual games.From what I remember, the game is too short for my taste, though I appreciated the background that differs from what we're used to see. It's Japan, with cherry blossoms, gardens... and with the soundtrack that is also reflecting this.Also, I have a soft spot for the game, as it's one of the first games that I unlock all achievements.If anything, I'm still recommending the game, though I suppose that some of you will experience some problems as it's an "old" game that may have problems with new stuff.
